I’m delighted to report that Bob Blue, owner of the Bernard Luggage Store at the corner of Hollywood and Vine in Hollywood, California, is going to be allowed to keep his property after all. The 70 year old luggage store was being targeted for seizure by eminent domain so that the city could replace it with a luxury hotel.

The Pacific Legal Foundation filed this brief in support of Mr. Blue. The city has now agreed to settle the case and allow the Bernard Luggage Store to remain. Congratulations to Mr. Blue and his excellent attorney, Robert Silverstein of the Silverstein Law Firm in Pasadena.
