Breaking: Court grants PLF's request for a temporary restraining order protecting Raleigh Bruner's right to earn a living

As reported earlier this week, PLF attorneys were in court on Wednesday arguing that the federal court for the Eastern District of Kentucky should issue a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction preventing officials from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet from enforcing the anti-competitive provisions of several Kentucky statutes and regulations.

Minutes ago, the court granted both requests. Here is the Court’s order.

Needless to say, PLF is very pleased with this result.  The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials will not be able to hale Raleigh Bruner into court for violating the very statutes he alleges are unconstitutional.  PLF Principal Attorney Timothy Sandefur — who argued for the restraining order — will have a more in-depth analysis once his plane from Kentucky lands.
