Courting Liberty on PLF's Obamacare Challenge
PLF President Rob Rivett hosts this podcast discussion with PLF Principal Attorney Timothy Sandefur on the next steps in the constitutional challenge to the Affordable Care Act. PLF sought en banc review by the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, but that request was denied, setting up a petition to the Supreme Court.
PLF’s challenge is based on the fact that Obamacare’s individual mandate “tax” started in the Senate, not in the House of Representatives, as required by the Constitution’s “Origination Clause” (Article 1, Section 7).
