For many Americans, the 250th anniversary of our nation’s Founding was little changed from past July Fourth celebrations: a day off, barbeque, and fireworks.
For us, this anniversary holds a far deeper meaning.
It marks 250 years of an extraordinary experiment in self-government—one built on the enduring idea that We the People are the source of government’s authority, not the other way around. This promise has inspired generations of Americans to defend the liberties secured by our Declaration of Independence and protected by our Constitution.
