We are pleased to formally invite paper submissions for a Certificate of Need Research Conference, co-sponsored by the Knee Center for the Study of Occupational Regulation and Pacific Legal Foundation. This conference will be held in the John Chambers College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV, on June 2–3, 2023.
Applicable Research Topics
We seek papers related to how CON laws influence:
• Various measures of cost, quality, and access of goods and services;
• Political economy and enforcement;
• Employment effects;
• Industrial concentration and/or industry organization.
Although much CON law research tends to be focused on healthcare, submissions covering other industries (such as transportation or other non-medical services) are also highly encouraged.
