Happy Bill of Rights Day!

December 15, 2011 | By JENNIFER THOMPSON

Today is the 220th anniversary of the ratification of the Bill of Rights. In 1791, the states ratified ten out of twelve constitutional amendments proposed by the First U.S. Congress. Those 10 Amendments became known as the Bill of Rights and guarantee some of our most cherished freedoms. At PLF, we work to protect the freedoms embodied in the Bill of Rights. Part of our duty to our supporters is to stand up to government infringements of those rights. We hope readers of the Liberty Blog show their support for the Bill of Rights today by contributing to PLF, or by simply talking to your friends and family about the importance of the freedoms those rights protect.
