Health care lawsuit unites PLF and her allies in the fight for liberty

Pacific Legal Foundation is representing Matt Sissel in a challenge to the recently enacted health care law's mandate that every American must purchase health insurance. That requirement exceeds Congress' constitutional authority under the Commerce Clause, and any other provision which may arguably justify it. We became involved in this suit because we believe it is important to take a stand in defense of the Constitution, and for individual rights.

There are a number of other suits challenging the mandate; however, we are fighting because our client is adversely affected by the mandate, and because we believe that our extensive experience in Commerce Clause litigation will prove valuable in this legal battle. While we are not affiliated with the other suits, we realize that we are allies in the same fight for liberty. Here is a list of all the suits:
