My article, "Privileges, Immunities, and Substantive Due Process" has been published in the New York University Journal of Law And Liberty. It covers the historical and political background for the Supreme Court's infamous 1873 decision in The Slaughter-House Cases, and why the Supreme Court should not only revive the Fourteenth Amendment's Privileges or Immunities Clause in McDonald v. Chicago, but also should keep so-called "substantive due process" as a part of its tools for protecting individual rights. You can read the article online here or here.
