Look up in the sky: It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s… an entrepreneur?

Superhero films like The Avengers and The Dark Knight ruled the silver screen this summer. Millions of Americans escaped into cinematic worlds where daring guardians protected society from harm. Given the current economic climate, Americans could use a fleet of real-world fiscal Superheroes. Fortunately, America is already equipped with this its own Superhero: the entrepreneur.

Our friends at Learnliberty.org created this video explaining that when entrepreneurs take risks, create jobs and solve problems, they should be considered heroes. By identifying and addressing needs in society, entrepreneurs improve the lives of individuals. They may not wear masks and capes, but they work voluntarily and tirelessly to make our lives better.

PLF is committed to fighting for the rights of entrepreneurs through its Economic Liberty Project. Our heroes are people like Adam Sweet, Alan Merrifield, and R.J. Bruner. However, for every Superman there’s some kind of “Kryptonite” that can stop a hero in her tracks. The entrepreneur’s Kryptonite – all-too-often in America – is burdensome, expensive, and unnecessary occupational licensing schemes. By working to eliminate the Kryptonite of unlawful occupational licensing schemes, PLF helps America’s entrepreneurs fulfill their heroic goals.
