Sad news today, as Missouri Governor Jay Nixon has chosen to veto House Bill 430, a bill passed without dissent by the state legislature, and which would have repealed the state’s anti-competitive licensing law for moving companies; the same law we’re challenging in the case of Michael Munie.

Gov. Nixon vetoed the bill because of other provisions, regarding highway billboards, but this veto unfortunately means that the state’s mover cartel will still remain in place, blocking economic opportunity and violating the Constitution. Well…it remains in place until the court strikes it down as unconstitutional.
