The New Yorker has joined the list of those who are critical of the proposed Endangered Species Act Section 7 regulations but who at the same time offer little substantive analysis of the proposed changes.

Considering that the ESA consists of a myriad of rules and prohibitions, it is hard to fathom how regulations pertaining to one provision of one section of the law could "effectively gut the Endangered Species Act." Perhaps that is why this prediction is left unexplained by the New Yorker.
