news on Preble's meadow jumping mouse

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has decided to remove Endangered Species Act protections for populations of the Preble's meadow jumping mouse located in Wyoming.  However, the Service also concluded that this subspecies remains threatened throughout a significant portion of its range, namely Colorado, and protections will persist there.  For more, visit the ESA blawg.
