PLF backs homeowners in bridge battle with CCC

In our latest California Coastal Commission case, we will be supporting homeowners in a lawsuit against that agency by filing an amicus curiae (“friend of the court”) brief early next year.  Currently before the California Court of Appeal, the case considers whether the Commission can decree public rights in a private pedestrian bridge that connects property owners from Newport Beach to their homes on Bay Island–simply because it is “beneficial” to the public.
