This afternoon at 4:30 PDT, PLF's Paul Beard will appear on The Andy Caldwell Show (am 1440 in California's Central Coast region) to talk about PLF's just-filed lawsuit against the latest attempted land grab by the California Coastal Commission.

PLF attorneys represent members of a family who want to do some minor repairs to their farmhouse in San Luis Obispo County, as well as rebuild a barn that was blown down.   The Coastal Commission is demanding a price for permission: They'd have to agree to a broad public easement across their property — a public thoroughfare, really – 25 to 50 feet wide, and one mile in length!

This attempt to use the permitting process to coerce property out of landowners flies in the face of the landmark U.S. Supreme Court decision ( a celebrated PLF victory), Nollan v. California Coastal Commission , which branded a comparable stunt by the Commission (against a family in Ventura County) as "an out and out plan of extortion."

Listen to Paul Beard talk about PLF's continuing fight to force the Coastal Commission to respect the Constitution and the core rights of property owners, today at 4:30!
