PLF's Economic Liberty Project testimony before the U.S. Civil Rights Commission

February 14, 2013 | By TIMOTHY SANDEFUR

Last week, I testified before the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights about government barriers to entrepreneurship and the consequences for civil rights. I told the Commission that economic freedom is the great neglected civil right in this country, and that arbitrary restrictions on entrepreneurship, particularly occupational licensing laws and Certificate of Necessity requirements, unjustly restrict the liberty and opportunity of all Americans, and have a disproportionately negative impact on members of racial minorities and immigrants. You can listen to the audio recording of my testimony here. And you can read my written submission here.
