Private Planning Not a Public Good

This column is not what I thought it would be when I read its title, though the point on eminent domain is a good one.

The writer's faith in government benevolence is betrayed by just about every piece of available evidence, ever.  Though one might assert that government is needed because of a dearth of angelic men, it simply doesn't follow that government itself is anywhere near cherubic.
