So argues the Center for Biological Diversity and other environmental groups that Monday filed a lawsuit in federal court in Sacramento challenging the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' plan to remove potentially millions of trees from California levees.  The Corps' view is that the trees compromise the levees' structural integrity, but the enviros contend that removal of the trees will cause harm to endangered species and their habitat.  This might be one of those suits where reasonable minds can really differ.
