Maxwell Steinberg

Strategic Research Intern |

Originally from New York City, Maxwell Steinberg is a sophomore at Stanford University studying philosophy, with plans to attend law school after graduation. From a young age, he was naturally curious about civics and was drawn to studying the principles of the United States legal system and how it shaped American democracy.

With a research background spanning state-level judicial and policy work, as well as academic scholarship in constitutional law, Maxwell is excited about furthering his work at the intersection of law and public policy this summer as an intern at PLF.

He is particularly passionate about contributing to the empirical, data-driven work of the Strategic Research division to support the principles that have made the United States the most free and most prosperous country on earth, especially in regard to the separation of powers.
