Susain Haigh of the AP has this report on Susette Kelo and Pasquale Cristofaro, the two homeowners in Fort Trumbull, Connecticut who had refused to leave their homes to make way for new development. Excerpt:

Details of the deal between New London's development agency and homeowners Susette Kelo and Pasquale Cristofaro were not released. The matter should be wrapped up by June 30, Rell said in a written statement.

"From the beginning I have consistently fought for fairness and accommodation with the Fort Trumbull residents," Rell said. "Today's announcement is proof that working together and negotiating in good faith can benefit everyone involved — the city of New London, the state of Connecticut and the residents of the Fort Trumbull peninsula."

Kelo, the lead plaintiff in the Supreme Court case, and Cristofaro faced the possibility of forced eviction from their homes to make way for a riverfront project slated to include condominiums, a hotel and office space.
