Pataki signs eminent domain/power line bill

In an update of an item we noticed in August, New York governor George Pataki has signed a bill to prohibit the use of eminent domain for construction of a 200-mile power line corridor.  According to Newsday, the bill governs not just this controversial project, but similar future efforts in the state.
