City Considers Condemning Property for Development

The city of Coos Bay, Oregon, is considering whether to condemn several acres of privately owned land for private development.

Update: The city has decided not to use eminent domain; evidently Lowe's hardware (which was to have been the beneficiary of the condemnation) did not have agreements with other property owners in the area, so the city decided it was not necessary to condemn the single owner at this time.
