Environmentalists signal strong support for Sotomayor

Earthjustice and 60+ environmentalist organizations have submitted a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee indicating their support for Judge Sotomayor’s appointment to the Supreme Court. These groups believe that Sotomayor will prove to be a green judge as Justice Souter purportedly was. Their speculation is based on rather slim evidence. But perhaps they know her empathy better than we.
