Acton Institute, Iron Light Labs, and Stand Together

A Hong Kong businessman finds himself in China’s crosshairs. Virginia families sue to stop race-based school admissions. A social worker fights for change in Louisiana. An Iranian musician risks everything for freedom.

These are real-life David versus Goliath stories featuring heroes who stood up against government injustice despite overwhelming odds. Now, at the In the Face of Giants Film Festival, you can watch short cuts of the documentary films that bring these stories to life:

  • The Hong Konger (produced by the Acton Institute)
  • Fortune in the Book (produced by Pacific Legal Foundation)
  • The Need to Care (produced by Stand Together for Americans for Prosperity)
  • Forbidden to See Us Scream in Tehran (produced by Farbod Ardebili and Iron Light Labs)

Join PLF and our friends at the Acton Institute, Iron Light Labs, and Stand Together on Wednesday, February 15, at the Alamo Drafthouse (DC Bryant Street location) for the films’ screening and a discussion with producers.

This film festival is part of PLF’s year-long celebration of our 50th anniversary in 2023. We’re marking the milestone by toasting heroes who’ve bravely stood up for liberty in the face of giants.

Registration for this event is at capacity.
