I'll be on Southern California's John & Ken Show today shortly after 6:00 p.m. PST, along with George and Sharlee McNamee, to discuss their ongoing legal battle against the California Coastal Commission.
We are challenging the Commission's decision to deny the McNamees a permit for beach amenities lying entirely on their private backyard, which abuts a wide public-beach strip. The Commission wants the McNamees to tear out tables, benches, and all of their other belongings, which the agency claims are too "bulky" and "unsightly," and creates the "perception" that the public-beach area is private.
