Renato “Money” Moicano partners with Pacific Legal Foundation to defend constitutional rights
October 25, 2024
Washington, DC; October 25, 2024: Renato “Money” Moicano, the Brazilian-born mixed martial artist who used his UFC 300 victory speech to declare a love for the U.S. Constitution and encourage Americans to take action for their country, is now partnering with Pacific Legal Foundation (PLF), a national constitutional law firm.
PLF is a nonprofit public interest law firm that defends Americans’ constitutional rights from government overreach and abuse. PLF has welcomed Moicano as the firm’s first brand ambassador.
“My friends at Pacific Legal Foundation fight the law in court—and they win,” Moicano announced on his Instagram and X platforms. “They defend Americans for free when the government screws with their rights. And just like me, they love the U.S. Constitution.”
In April, after winning his bout at UFC 300 (held in Las Vegas and broadcast on ESPN), Moicano surprised the crowd with an unusual victory speech. “I love the Constitution,” Moicano told a visibly amused Joe Rogan. “I love private property.”
PLF staff—spanning over a hundred employees across the country—happened to be watching UFC 300 that night: The firm’s new MMA-themed commercial, “Fight,” was airing nationally on ESPN.
“Even before we saw Renato’s speech, PLF recognized something kindred in the world of MMA and its fans,” said Jaclyn Boudreau, brand director at Pacific Legal Foundation. “Our firm has a fighting spirit; we punch above our weight. When Renato used his platform to talk about the Constitution and property rights, we knew we wanted to work with him.”
Like Moicano—who holds an impressive record of 20 wins, five losses, and one draw—PLF also has a winning record: The firm has brought 20 cases to the Supreme Court and lost only two. PLF’s legal team fights for homeowners, entrepreneurs, farmers, fishermen, and others whose freedom is threatened by government overreach.
Moicano will now use his growing platform to draw attention to the legal fights of PLF’s clients.
