Britany Skipper

Chief Financial Officer |

Britany Skipper leads financial operations at PLF as treasurer and CFO. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Virginia with over 15 years of accounting experience in the nonprofit industry. Even more importantly, however, she is a lover of liberty, dedicated to protecting PLF in its fight for freedom by ensuring financial excellence.

Prior to her role at PLF, Britany was a leader within the Business Process Outsourcing group at Citrin Cooperman, one of the top 25 accounting firms in the country, where she specialized in providing financial decision-making support to nonprofit organizations. Earlier in her career, Britany served as controller at the Institute for Justice.

Britany is a graduate of George Mason University, where her love for liberty and independence was nurtured. It was during this time she discovered one of her favorite quotes:

“She was fifteen when it occurred to her that women did not run railroads and that people might object. To hell with that, she thought – and never worried about it again.” – Ayn Rand

When she isn’t “running railroads” or defending freedom, Britany is spending time in Alexandria, Virginia, with her husband and two amazing little boys. In those rare moments alone, she can be found enjoying a novel, listening to music, or running around the trails of Northern Virginia.
