Equality & Opportunity

Sydney Madigan joined Pacific Legal Foundation as a litigation fellow in August 2024. She is very enthusiastic about assisting PLF’s attorneys, particularly in the Equality and Opportunity practice group.

Sydney believes Americans are best equipped to make decisions about work and education when they are freed from government intrusion. Her interest in the liberty movement took root while a student at George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School, where she served as the Federalist Society Chapter president. She was further spurred onto this fight by the writings of Gerard Casey and Bryan Caplan.

Before coming to PLF, Sydney clerked for the Hon. Joseph L. Falvey, Jr. on the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. In addition to her law degree, she also holds a degree in mathematics from Christendom College, where she researched the philosophical controversy surrounding computer-assisted proofs.

A Marine Corps brat, Sydney lives in Virginia with her husband, baby boy, and rescue kitten, Waffles. She loves (in no particular order) Star Wars, period dramas, beachcombing, Disney World, Latin dance music, costume designing, the traditional Latin Mass, orchids, and cross-stitching. Bluey is her spirit animal.
