Tyler Fry joined Pacific Legal Foundation as an attorney in 2025, working in the Environment and Natural Resources practice group.
Tyler grew up in Southeast Texas, where he developed a passion for politics and public policy from a young age. He became an avid student of history and political philosophy and strengthened his own beliefs and values in individual liberty and limited constitutional government through the works of philosophers and writers such as John Locke, Alexis de Tocqueville, Friedrich Hayek, and James Madison.
He graduated from Texas A&M University in 2015 with a B.A. in political science. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army, where he served five years and deployed in support of Operation Spartan Shield, Operation Freedom’s Sentinel, and Operation Inherent Resolve. He earned his law degree from Texas A&M University School of Law in 2023. He played an active role in the Federalist Society and focused his studies on energy, oil and gas, and natural resources law.
Before joining PLF, Tyler worked as an oil and gas attorney and drafted drilling title opinions, lease hold agreements, and other documents. He also interned at the Conservative Partnership Institute and the Texas Office of the Attorney General and completed a fellowship with America First Legal.
He lives in Fort Worth, Texas, with his wife. In his free time, he enjoys traveling the world, studying military history, and obsessing over Texas A&M football.
Tyler is a member of the bar only in the state of Texas.
