update on Southeast water conditions

An article in today's Southeast Farm Press discusses the ongoing drought in the southeastern U.S. Although conditions have improved a bit recently, much of Georgia is still in extreme drought, according to officials. The tri-state water rights litigation, which includes a dispute regarding the Army Corps of Engineers' ESA obligations in managing a federal reservoir system, is unlikely to be resolved anytime soon.
