Jennifer Frain

Director of Foundation Relations |

Jen Frain joined PLF in 2024 as the director of Foundation Relations, where she leads the Foundations team in crafting communication that inspires and increases new grants. Jen has worked in development and fundraising for over 20 years. Her experience includes management roles at performing arts organizations: LA Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, and Pacific Opera Project. She loves meeting donors and learning how they want to shape their personal stories into their legacies.

As a resident of California, Jen was horrified to experience the blatant government overreach during the pandemic. From the closure of hiking trails to watching her son struggle through virtual kindergarten, Jen was aghast at how the smallest forms of government succeeded in changing and affecting her daily life, often with no science or reasoning to their blanket decrees. Jen then changed her career trajectory, hoping to fundraise for organizations that fought for constitutional rights and common sense. She quickly learned about PLF and its winning track record—and wanted to be a part of the team who wins, especially as these wins affect and protect every American.

Jen is a proud alumna of both Northwestern University and the University of Notre Dame, where she studied opera and business, respectively. She is a local national anthem performer and enjoys officiating NCAA water polo as a lucrative hobby. When not watching the Notre Dame Fighting Irish or the Detroit Lions, she is likely driving around her three sons and trying not to yell at them.
