CBD files 60-day notice over water pumping for Nevada communities
The Press-Enterprise reports. The basic contention is that increased pumping of groundwater will harm the Moapa dace and the desert tortoise. Interestingly, the dace has been listed since 1967. One wonders how endangered the fish is if its survived the rapid urban development in southern Nevada over the last four decades.
