Daily Journal publishes PLF op-ed on bill of attainder case

The Daily Journal recently ran an op-ed on a bill of attainder case pending in the Eastern District of California.

The op-ed highlights the deficiencies of a California law that excludes two agricultural businesses from statutory protections afforded to every other employer in the State. PLF argued in an amicus brief — and again in this op-ed — that the law violated the “time-honored prohibition against . . . trials by Legislature.”
