Earlier this week The Sacramento Bee ran this op-ed from Rep. Dan Lungren on the valley elderberry longhorn beetle saga.  Rep. Lungren mentions PLF's lawsuit over the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's outdated and costly threatened designation for the VELB and rightly notes that "[t]here is no failure to thrive on the part of the beetle, only a failure to act on the part of the Fish and Wildlife Service."
