Michael Dearing

Michael Dearing is founder of seed-stage venture capital firm Harrison Metal Capital and a retired consulting associate professor at Stanford University’s School of Engineering. Michael taught some of the most popular courses at Stanford—on entrepreneurship, startup finance, and commercializing new technology. Prior to starting Harrison Metal Capital, he worked in senior leadership positions at eBay and The Walt Disney Company. He holds an AB from Brown University in economics and an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School. He serves on the President’s Advisory Council for the Center for Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Brown. Michael resides in Jackson, Wyoming, and Palm Beach, Florida.
