Elyse Bruton

Media Relations Manager |

Elyse Bruton is a Media Relations manager at Pacific Legal Foundation, where she helps advance the organization’s commitment to protecting individual liberty through clear, strategic, and timely communications. In her role, she develops media outreach that brings PLF’s litigation and policy work to broader audiences, showing how constitutional principles shape people’s everyday lives.

Elyse is driven by a conviction that government power often expands quietly, and that everyday Americans deserve to know when their rights are being chipped away. She focuses on elevating stories that reveal how overreach affects real people and on showing that there are dedicated advocates working to push back. Her work aims to make the stakes of PLF’s mission unmistakably clear: Freedom requires vigilance, and someone is always fighting to keep government within its proper bounds.

Before joining PLF, she worked on the agency side, where she led earned media campaigns across the tech, energy, and finance sectors. She has extensive experience translating complex policy and technology issues into accessible stories, securing top‑tier coverage, and supporting executives in high‑stakes communications moments.

Elyse grew up in Virginia and still calls the area home, where she lives with her husband, their son, and their dog. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, paddleboarding, reading, and spending time with her family.
