Garett Roush is HR manager, Employee Experience & Operations at Pacific Legal Foundation. He leads onboarding and employee-facing HR communications, supports PLF’s internship, externship, fellowship, and clerkship programs, and backs up recruiting. He also works on the workflows, resources, and audits that help the HR team run smoothly as PLF grows.
This is Garett’s second stint at PLF. He first joined in 2022 as a talent coordinator and grew into the role of talent acquisition manager. In between, he served as manager of Career Advancement and Talent Placement at Reformers Academy, where he helped alumni of its education, health, and human flourishing programs land roles in state agencies, legislatures, and free-market policy organizations.
Before PLF, Garett spent several years in agency and corporate recruiting across industries ranging from healthcare and finance to engineering and skilled trades. His early career was in politics, including advocacy work and time on a presidential campaign. He studied political science at Syracuse University.
Garett lives in Metro Detroit with his wife, Neviah, and their son, Mateo. He serves on the school board at Arbor Prep High School and suffers from a lifelong case of Detroit sports fandom, which he says has taught him a lot about patience.
