Garett Roush

Talent Coordinator |

Garett Roush serves as talent coordinator for PLF, focusing on retaining and acquiring the best talent in the liberty movement. Supporting the Talent & Culture team, he collaborates with employees, managers, and prospects—relentlessly driving a best-in-class employee and candidate experience that empowers PLF to advance liberty through the law.

He was introduced to the ideas of liberty through reading John Locke. He became passionate about fighting unjust government actions after learning how the government restricts effective treatments for epilepsy, a condition Garett and millions of other Americans live with.

Prior to joining PLF in October 2022, Garett began his career in youth recruitment, activism, and mentorship with Students for Liberty, Young Americans for Liberty, and two presidential campaigns. During his work with SFL and YAL, he graduated from the Koch Internship Program and Koch Associate Program. After completing his tenure as North American Leadership Manager with SFL, Garett shifted to the private sector to specialize his skill set in talent acquisition. He facilitated the recruitment process as a corporate recruiter and talent manager for multiple companies in a variety of industries, including facilities management, automotive (EV), financial services and banking, healthcare, and digital marketing. He handled talent searches that ranged from early career to the selection of C Suite executives and consulted hiring managers on best practices during a volatile labor market.

Garett attended Syracuse University with an emphasis on political science. He is a massive sports fan (and frequent leader in his Fantasy Football league). When he isn’t trying to find a new place to visit that’s within driving distance, he is likely watching the local Detroit sports team struggle, listening to a new podcast, or playing a video game.

Garett currently resides 30 minutes west of Detroit, where he spends most of his free time with his dog Maddie.
