Hayden Gilbert

Information Technology Manager |

Hayden Gilbert serves as the Information Technology Manager at Pacific Legal Foundation, where he trains our nationwide staff on digital tools and platforms that allow us to fight for liberty seamlessly from any location in the country. It’s a role that combines Hayden’s two passions: He’s both a tech enthusiast and an ardent believer in the core values of liberty and justice for all. By educating the PLF team on how to use our ever-evolving stable of digital applications, Hayden aims to empower every PLFer as we work together to battle government overreach.

Hayden came to PLF in May of 2022 with an extensive IT career, including instructional design, curriculum development, media creation and delivery, training consultation, facilitation, higher-education instruction, and support. Before joining PLF, he worked with several major universities creating and delivering entire application-based curriculums. He also served as a professor of Business at Pepperdine University, teaching Advanced Computer Science and Applications. He earned his master’s degree in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge, where he also implemented (and trained staff on) the university’s very first software-based student administration system.

Hayden’s mission of fighting for liberty started over 19 years ago when he was introduced to the non-profit organization Operation Gratitude. There he donated his time and money to send care packages year-round to  brave active-duty service members who were serving and unable to be home with family for life events or holidays.

On a personal note, Hayden and his wife are both avid lovers of the outdoors, including hiking and fishing (although the only thing Hayden ever seems to catch on the lake is a cold!) They are also both huge sci-fi fantasy geeks who love all matters of geekdom from Ghostbusters to Harry Potter.

When he’s not spending time with his wife and two kids, Hayden can be found playing ice hockey or writing a chapter in his sci-fi/liberty-themed book, which he hopes to finish while he still has the basic ability to type more than a few words per minute.

He is originally from the Southern California area and now lives in Northern Idaho with his wife, two kids, and two overly spoiled pups.
