Uncle Sam wants you to buy health insurance!

The recently enacted health care law requires all non-exempt Americans to purchase health insurance under threat of stiff financial penalties. This is unprecedented, and unconstitutional. As Lana Harfoush so aptly depicts in her recent cartoon, the mandate seeks to pull individuals into the field of commerce, but Congress lacks the constitutional power to regulate people standing outside of the field of commerce. Hands off Uncle Sam!
