Eminent Domain for Sports Franchises?

Bad enough is the common practice of local governments seizing private land to build stadiums for sports teams.  But this Berkeley Daily Planet commentary suggests these governments should seize the teams themselves.

Not knowing where to begin, I will allow this fiasco to speak for itself.
