PLF’s Timothy Sandefur discusses ongoing Obamacare challenges at Cato Feb. 7
I’ll be speaking as part of the Cato Institute’s forum, “Beyond the Individual Mandate: The Ongoing Legal Challenges to Obamacare” on Thursday, February 7, at 4 pm in Washington, D.C. I will speak about our case, Sissel v. HHS, and some of the issues that I raise in my forthcoming article, “So It’s A Tax…Now What?”Also on the panel with me are Christina Sandefur, staff attorney at the Goldwater Institute, who’s litigating Coons v. Geithener (and who happens to be my wife), and Michael Cannon of the Cato Institute, who will talk about the Oklahoma case challenging the IRS’s effort to change the rules governing Obamacare “exchanges.” The public is welcome, and will be webcast live: more details here.
